M50 Manifold

I just bought an m50 manifold from xsperf through the classifieds forum. haha, I think that's the first purchase our classifieds forum has organized.

I've talked to someone who installed an m50 manifold before and they said it was a very noticable mod, making a pretty big difference in power, but I've never heard any numbers.

What kind of gains could I expect (estimated of course until i dyno one day) from an m50 manifold? I know you lose some low end from it, but I have pulleys waiting to be installed also that will help that a bit.

Haha, yeah yeah. Let see... if you go out to my garage and look at what i've bought, but haven't installed yet, you'll find:

-UUC Pulleys
-Umnitza DDE Remote On
-M3 XBrace
-BavAuto Springs (not going back on though, just took them off)
-and now an m50 manifold

I need to stop buying and start installing. haha
I think I'm going to one day crack down and get EVERYTHING installed.

...or I could wait and buy a few more things first.

True, but his parents pay for the bimmer modding.

Whoa, they claim i would only lose about 6 lb of torque, but I gain almost 40whp.... something seems a bit extreme there.

i am going to pick a m50 manifold tomorrow. i have heard nothing but great reviews so... wtf??? i'll try it. i have been researching it alot lately. the general consenus is about 15-20rwhp and -5ish lb/tq. which the torque can be recovered with the shark injector.

komodo,
are you going to get the install kit or rig it up yourself? i am thinking about waiting on the install kit...just so it will look more professional.

it's kinda pricey $375. that is why i am hesitant. however it is supposed to make the install much easier/cleaner.
do a search on bf.com and you will find pages of info on it

That's a lot of money for very little it seems.

That's all that's included: http://www.eurosporthighperformance....nifold_Kit.jpg

I don't know if I can justify $375 for that.
