the kit is not necessary but makes things much easier and cleaner looking. unless you are installing the manifold yourself get the conversion kit. my mechanic said it saved him time so that the cost of install was reduced. above 4000 rpm's the manifold really opens up the power. you dont need the eurospeed software, just a normal shark injector should give you great gains with the manifold.

I already have the shark injector. Do you think a custom tune going to be needed soon? This is my only non-bolt on mod really...

The M50 manifold is off the M50 engine, which powers the BMW 325 from 1992 to 1995. It affects the 328 engine by giving it more power up higher in the rpm range than your standard M52 manifold. The M52 engine is the one in your car.

M50 enjine is more powerful than M52 328 enjine, so that means BMW325 has more power than 328??

The 328 has more power and torque, especially down low in the rpm range. But the manifold on the 328 has smaller runners which limits the power at high rpms. The 325 manifold has bigger runners, which help power at higher rpms. If you will go back through this thread and read, you will find all of this and see a picture of the two manifolds together.
