Slow revs
This 328 is the first BMW I've owned.......so, I'm wondering about the rev's. when I rev the RPM's up, it is fine, revs fast as expected. After I let off the accelerator, the RPM's just kind of hang........they come back down pretty slow. Is that normal for the 2.8 on a 5 speed? It isn't a problem, just strange. I figured maybe the BMW's have a heavy flywheel.
cant give you a reason or explanation, but i have a 328 and its been that way since i got it. i think its just how they are. my old car was a 4 cyl so i was used to the rpms droppin as quick as theyd come up. it probly is the flywheel weight or something of that nature

I'm not sure, I came across it somewhere but can't remember the particulars, but I think it may also have something to do with controlling emissions. Sorry I can't be of more help than that.
