Yes.

Are brakes really something you want to risk going cheap on?

as for all of you that are scared of ebay.....DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND YOU WONT GET SCREWED. I will say +1 to RSF5 about not getting things you trust your life with on there. but things like clears and such are perfectly fine to get off there. there are great deals to be had, and like i said if you know what you are doing you will be fine. as for the brakes, saving money and going with OEM stuff is like an oxymoron. you can get upgraded brakes much cheaper than OEM stuff, so dont skimp out on them man, get drilled or slotted rotors and some decent street/track pads!!

eBay is definitely not for the amateur looking to go cheap. But on the other hand, a lot of reputable retailers sell their stuff on eBay. If you frequent the site as much as I do, you get to know the good eggs.

i used to frequent but i bought stuff like crazy. i mean CRAZY. theres some good stuff on there. theres lotsa stuff i'd get off ebay, but brakes aren't one of them. theres just some assurance that you get by buying them from an actual store (online or otherwise). its a psychological thing.

The warning lights on the ABS and wear sensors usually take 500 miles to turn themselves off. That's what happened in my mother's 528i, I think you might be okay. Just out of curiosity... how much did you get the set for?
