Recoding Instrument Cluster

I'm currently replacing some bulbs(lamps) in the instrument cluster and just before i disconnect the plugs at the back i want to know if i have the recode the cluster after reinstalling.
I have the battery disconnected and i will be using the existing instrument cluster.

Should I worry??
And is recoding just for cluster replacement for mileage details etc???

Thanks in advanced.

Not sure what you mean by "recoding", but if you're just replacing bulbs, you should have no problems . . the odometer has a backup battery which retains the mileage when power is disconnected.

Awesome, thanks dudesky. Now to replace all those lil suckers (at least 4 bulbs, lol).

We have light! Geez it is really a technique getting the cluster out with the steering wheel still on, but surprisingly it didn't take much time to do.
BTW not all the bulb sockets are there, like the traction control which i understand seeing that i don't have that installed but also the seat belt light is missing. Is this normal?

^^^ You know, I've written a DIY for this, it would have made it a lot easier.

:doh I forgot about that.
