Warning Lights on 1997 328i
If anybody knows a detailed description of all possible kinds of warning lights that appear on the panel (1997 328i), could you post it?
I have two couple of warning lights (follow the attachment) that are on now. 1st one, I was told indicates ABS failure. Not sure about the second one.. could anybody let me know. Thanks
yup second one is pad wear sensors, dont worrry they're 10 bucks a piece and a snap to replace (especially while you're replacing your pads. the first one is in the same row as the pad wear light correct?

No, the first one .. the warning sign with an exclamation is in the center, one row higher than that of the second sign.
So, do I have to change the pads and also the sensor? Thanks in advance 215Bimmer.
Yes, you will need to replace the sensor. You would not have needed to do that if the brakes had been replaced before the light had gone off, however.
(for your car, just think ASC+T instead of DSC)

The first light, if surrounded by an open circle with an arrow tip on one end, is your ASC+T (Automatic Stability Control + Traction) light. It will be on whenever you have disengaged ASC+T (via the green button in the center console); it will illuminate intermitently whenever the ASC+T kicks in; or it may be indicating an ASC+T failure.
The second light is the brake pad wear sensor. If the light is on, your front pads, or rear pads, or both need to be replaced very soon.
