Turbo for 325I?
First i would like to mention that i am glad that there is such an excellent online BMW community, which will hopefully help demistify German cars for my. I picked up a 1993 325i last week, and so far it has been excellent- especially in sending little rice rockets all they way back to japan. I did some racing on it too, until I got a racing ticket (here in Alberta thats 6/7 demerits and 400 dollars ). Basically, i was wondering if there is a way to make a 325i go faster than a crown vic . Now getting to the point- i have looked on the internet for a turbo for the 93 325i, but had absolutely no luck. Do they exist? if yes, are they exist, would they be worth it? What other performance upgrades are there for the 325i other than ripping out the interior?
PS- is a k&n recommended for it?

yeah, i am pretty sure that there are some kits out there.... pretty pricey though..
defkon, a guy on these forums has been buying parts for his 325 to turbo..
one thing about turboing an older car... if you really wanted to, it will cost a bit, and you may want to rebuild your engine too... just a thought...

For a 325, you could buy a decent exhaust, and a track pipe. Some cams from a 95 M3, buy an air intake. Then buy a chip for all of those mods, the gains wont be too bad. Could also buy an LSD, there are a ton of parts available for e36's. I could go on and on. Yes there are turbo kits available too.
