E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
If not, it right above your head, back from the maplight assembly. Pull that off and see if there is a loose connection. That sounds like what the problem may be.

My friend is having a similar prob except the sunroof won't even budge. It is stuck in the middle and he can't move it with the manual hand crank. Could this issue be resolved similar to this one? I belive his model is a 1992 318i.

Sounds like it's your comfort relay, just changed mine. You can resolder it but a new one is only $18.00. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...=comfort+relay
When the sunroof is the problem it's usally on the solder joint just to the right of the one their talking about. I resoldered
it and it started working but sometimes it would take a couple of minutes after cranking the car. Just get a new one and you will
be fine.
