First of all, welcome to UB.c

To turn off traction control, simply press the ASC(+T) button in the center console. The indicator lamp in the dash will illuminate and stay on solid.

To find out if you have an LSD, you have to look at your differential and find the engraved serial number. If it starts with an 'S,' the n you have an LSD.

on my 95 325is its right next to the driver heated seat button which is directly next to the cigarette lighter, if you dont have a button there, do you even have traction control?

It was an option for E36's. It was not standard until the E46 came around. If you don't have the green button, then you don't have traction control.
