traction Control
hey on a 1995 325I I have now idea how to turn traction control off if i want to, anybody know how?
Also I herd this model has an LSD my friend wanted to know some numbers on it? I forgot exactly what he wanted to know. thx |
First of all, welcome to UB.c :)
To turn off traction control, simply press the ASC(+T) button in the center console. The indicator lamp in the dash will illuminate and stay on solid. To find out if you have an LSD, you have to look at your differential and find the engraved serial number. If it starts with an 'S,' the n you have an LSD. |
If its supposed to be by the cigarette lighter where there are places to be buttons, I have no buttons there and cant find this button.
on my 95 325is its right next to the driver heated seat button which is directly next to the cigarette lighter, if you dont have a button there, do you even have traction control?
I thought all bmw's came with traction control for a while before 1995, but i guess i may not have it.
well, most likely if you dont have a button you dont have it, but if it is a stickshift you can find out the easy way :)
It was an option for E36's. It was not standard until the E46 came around. If you don't have the green button, then you don't have traction control.

Alright thanks guys now i gotta check for LSD and I'm set.
^the fun check is to goto a parking lot and burn out, if you leave two strips of rubber its a lsd if its only 1 its open.
just jack up the car and check the diff
