since i was impatient that day, i called my friend who knows a lot about fixing cars (btw if some of you guys are from ny, he goes to farmingdale )and he came over... he recommended on taking off the oil pan because that is the safest way... but i said, man that's gonna take forever... so i asked another friend who works in autozone and told me that it's okay to keep it inside ONLY if the plug is heavy enough to just sit in the bottom of the oil pan... so i took my autozone friend's advice and just bought a new drain plug and closed that shit...
so far i've driven the car for like 110-120 miles and i dont have any problems as of yet... hopefully smooth sailing for me
dont worry guys i'll keep you all posted when something makes a rattling noise... cross fingers...
yep he is. and that post was from earlier today. not a good idea. b/c with a BMW, anything that goes wrong (b/c of being lazy) ends up costing a FORTUNE to fix.

I stopped reading after i heard that, i knew exactly what had happened.
I predict: he will be driving on a somewhat twisty road, and he gets the urge to put his foot down, he downshifts through a corner, the plug shifts in the bottom of his pan, his vanos kicks in, rpm's rise, the oil flow increases through the engine as the vanos sucks it in, and then... dkasghsdahglasdghshgsakhgslasdhh toasted m50.

hi guys... i'm still here... and my bimma's still alive...
I believe in what you guys have said... that's why i've been very careful driving (only when i ride with my friend who has that damn turbo on his sc)
but when i get a chance i'll definitely unscrew the oil pan and take that shiznik off... i'll do it when school's done... so i have a lot of time in my hand to do everything at the same time... like cosmetics blah blah blah

i know my friend have one... but I heard that the oil pan is magnetized already so anything that's in it will just stay at the bottom... that goes to mitsu cars not sure about bimmas...
