weird battery problem

So I go out to my 97 328is yesterday and start her up. Nothing. The dash lights are very dim and the windows won't roll down. When the key is in the ignition, there is a clicking noise coming from what sounds like between the dash and engine compartment. I get a friend to jump start it and it starts right up. I drive for a good half hour to charge it up, drive it a few hours later, starts up with no problem. Go out this morning, starts up, but then a few minutes later after I stop by the gas station, same problem. Got it jumped, tried to start it an hour later, nothing. I'm getting ready to get the battery/alternator tested but am wondering if anybody has had a problem similiar to this before?

Jason

Check your battery post connections. Sounds like a cable is loose.

Amazing, thats exactly what it was! I went to autozone and the cable was completely off the post. I guess it was loose to begin with and then came off after i hit a bump. doh!
