Sunroof doesn't open
My father has a 1995 325i and recently his sunroof and later on windows stopped working within 2 weeks, he replaced the fuse#43 and he doesn't have the comfort relay. If you could please give an advise I would greatly appreciate it
This is a guess, but it could be a problem with the Central Body Electronics (aka ZKE IV system). Check fuse #'s 7, 14, 26, 28, 31, 33, 35, & 43. Or it could be a problem with the ZKE IV module itself, located behind the glovebox.

hi,i have no end of friends with elec sunroofs, there isnt one that hasnt had a problem with them if the motor hasnt blown, they run slow, then there popping fuses for breakfast.
i dont know if its a common bmw fault but i know at least 5 like this,it could be the motor that causes it.
As for Vik, I would replace more fuses than #43, like Dudesky said. Chances are that more than one fuse controls one operation. I know, I've had some problems...
As for dino, open up the panel to the sunroof motor (it's the one by the map lights). You'll see the sunroof motor. In the center, there is an allen key. From that you can turn the motor without electronics. If you do this, you can see if there is anything in the way of the sunroof. If the "manual-motor" actually moves the sunroof, there is nothing in the way and your motor is probably bad and will need replacing. In your case, I doubt it is a fuse issue since you said that you can hear the motor trying to work, meaning that there is current getting to the unit.
