E36 Auto to ZF Manual Converstion
I have a 1995 E36 M50 Saloon with a piece of junk auto tranny. I've put two tranny's in this car and have decided to replace it with a manual this time around. I've owned this car since new and my plan is to install a supercharger which will give me almost 300 hp at the flywheel. Ultimately, I'd like to get 400hp+ at the flywheel. My research tells me the ZF S5D 310Z transmission is the best choice. Anybody do this conversion with ZF? Will it bolt up to my M50 easily, or do I need to purchase a complete conversion kit from Zionsville Autosports? Any info would be appreciated. |

search on bimmerforums.com there will be much more info on this there. the tranny should easily bolt up to your motor. |
