Bought A 318is 4door At The Weekend - United Bimmer Community

Hi i bought a Hell Rot Red 318is at the weekend, its absoloutly superb!

It's packed to the rafters with features! Has too much to list, some of which are:

full black leather interior
genuine m3 bodykit
genuine 17" contours (wider rears) - 1 in the boot also brand new
lux pack
climate control
mtech suspesion
98model so one of the later ones :-)

excellent condition, so pleased with it! Glad i went for that and not a coupe now!

Wondering if i fit a bmc panel filter, will it give it some more grunt from the engine? or will it make no difference at all to the sound/performance?

The 318is is not a 4 door, you have a 318i.

So you have the m44 in there? Look for a chip for the motor to get a few more horses out of it(your not going to get a lot of power out of the motor without spending big bucks). I dont know if your going to see much of a change with a change in filters. Post some pics of your ride.

Hi Nick it is a 318is 100% sure of it

BMW made a couple of hundred 318is 4doors they are rare, i thought you would know that you seem experienced.

It isnt a 318i

its 140bhp 16v model, its the latest engine in there its a late 98model

yea pics, and do you have any documentation of these so called 4 door iS? I have always believed and led to believe that any 3 series with an S was a two door in the US (through e36), i know there were S versions of several earlier 5 series.

Yeah i am from the UK, maybe the 4door is were made in Europe only? Yeah i will post up pics for you in the next couple of days then

yeah it is nice, looks really mean! I will take a couple of pics this morning but they wont be the best ones, im valeting the car at the weekend so can post more pics then.

yes correct only a couple hundred 318 is e36 4 doors were made for the europe market of which yes 1 or 2 were shipped over here and i have one !!!!! and its for sale only 81.000 miles mint top spec with leather etc etc and yeh its a rare in fact i think as its also an auto youd probably find the hens teeth easier !!!!
