Exhaust Help

I'm looking on Ebay for an exhaust tip for my 96 328i, and I bought this one :
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ame=Action:MPS

...and when i took it to an exhaust place to get it mounted, he didn't think it would fit on my car, is that true?

Can't really tell without better pics. It looks like it has only one inlet pipe? Your car has dual pipes. And mounting something like that will require custom work. Personally I don't think it's a good choice, and there's no way you're gonna see 10-15 extra hp, let alone 1 or 2hp.

I've seen an exhaust like that on e36's, but it was a catback, with the dual pipes not the single.

You can get it to work, but it will cost a bit of $
