So......Long story short, went to spring break to gatlinburg. twas fun.....until. one of our roomies (one of my bro's friends, girl friend) backs up STRAIGHT into my driver side quarterpanel (above front wheel) and just bashes it in, i mean she had to back up into it at like 10-15 mph) without even stopping mind you.
Yeah Im mad....but i cant get mad at her cause she's a friend of a friend of a friend....etc
but.....my panel is pretty much F'd
here's the funny part. i start up my car....kinda...strange noises
we drive home, my car feels very ...light, like suspension is very loose. and just kinda weakish feeling.like it almost struggles to get up to speed (sometimes)
I get home.....look in the engine, some kinda fan clutch or something is banging back and forth flicking coolant everywhere. i turn off the car.....coolant just spills from the front of my car.
my guess ....water pump, yes I know the dreaded bmw water pump......BUT it was replaced before around 40k miles back with the good water pump.....
SO my question is.
Would Denting (and it's a good sized dent, the panel def needs to be replaced) the front quarterpanel (next to the engine). possibly have anything to do with the whole water pump/fan clutch/ suspension going crazy on me.?
i do find it a bit ironic and too coincidental that my car drove down there fine, then RIGHT after im hit, it does all this stuff. I just wanna hear some educated opinions since I gotta talk to insurance company tommorow.
not to mention it took a couple of cranks to start my car this morning
and that never happens.
KEEP IN MIND, this mortning was first time I drove it after accident.
....so no more parking behind women drivers anymore
J/K J/k!
just no more parking behind black camrys :-D
