Go for it :D What chassis are you looking at?

Dudesky 03-13-2007 12:17 PM

It's posted on the E36 section, so I'll assume he means like ours. I think saloons look good modded. That's a big part of BMW's image- sedans with balls :)

Oh, yes :p

thanks for the replies ill check them threads out, i just need advic if i do buy one for example will they look niceas the coupe modded etc etc, i think i'll make it look like an M3 4 door would this still look nice? Coupes are just high mileage when people sell them from what ive seen!

nick_318is 03-14-2007 11:10 AM

^I dont like it when people make their non ///m car look like an m car.

bmwISCoupe 03-14-2007 11:42 AM

oh ok Nick why not ? What else would look good on a loon?

Dudesky 03-14-2007 01:46 PM

^^^To each his own, of course. But you'll find that most BMW enthusiasts revere the ///M cars, and find it disgraceful to impersonate them. They're a special pedigree that defines BMW's performance accomplishments for over 3 decades running. They're held in higher regard by BMW enthusiasts than Honda fans for Type R vehicles, for example. We like to think that some things should not be bastardized, so to speak. And I think if you end up buying that saloon, you'll understand and agree :)

nick_318is 03-14-2007 02:46 PM

^Exactly my sentiment, unless you have done enough work to get to m standards or or a swap in most cases I think you should keep the ///M stuff off the car, but to each his own.

It also seems like everyone and their brother wants the M stuff on their e36, granted the m3 is always the best looking of the 3 series crop.

bmwISCoupe 03-14-2007 03:49 PM

ok, shying away from the M-tech Kit what other bodykits so to speak do you recommend? Schnitzer? Alpina? Any others?

I wouldnt want to keep it totally standard so need to put a "kit" on it (obviously not boy racer/maxpower styles though)!!!
