The busy monkey that was me

What a weekend! I was checking out my friend's 'new' workshop and he offered his mechanics to check out my car for free. Not wanting to pass up this freebie i let him do so.
He found and showed me (i was there watching him)

1)A broken front left stabilizer link
2)A Broken worn out front right lower arm bushing
3)Abnormal tire wear on the front left wheel
4)A 'squeaky' tensioner pulley
5)A Driveshaft that needs attention.

I fixed problems 1 and 2 right away.
Problem 3 is probably due to the the broken stabilizer link, i'll have it
checked out when i get my car some new tires and redo the alignment in june 07. More on this later

Problem 4, i got the parts but no time to drop off the car since i need to use it for the week.

The mechanic thinks i can upgrade the driveshaft to an M3 shaft but he doesn't recall the part number.

Besides that, the car is driving like a dream EXCEPT for 1 thing.

He was curios why my injectors were ticking. Like a timebomb. (Can i say that here?) Seriously, he asked me to put my hand over the engine cover and i can feel the pulsing (throbbing) of the injectors under the smaller cover.
I let him remove the covers and felt the fuel rail. The injectors were pulsing like they should but ticking loudly.

to compare, i had my friends car (same engine) slightly older than mine, his car doesn't even tick!!! At idle or when you rev up the engine.

The mechanic suggests that i get the injectors cleaned out, but after checking online forums and with the stealership, they do not guarantee that this method will solve the ticking problem. I've already replaced the fuel filter in the 4Q of 2006 and i use RON97 fuel. Any ideas guys? Was thinking of using off-the-shelf Liqui Moly fuel injector cleaners to clear out clogged injectors?

Dirty injectors? Untuned engine? Wats there to do?
