Frustrating Problem
Hi there all im new heer, i have a 1995 bmw 316i for 2 years not one problem. The water pump got replaced as did the fan-belt tensioner and a cog. Now i have the problem of the fan belt ripping and comming off.
Any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated

Thanx all for thanx all for the help the pulley was replaced at the fan side at the top. After the car runs for a few min it seems to run off the alternator then comes right off any ideas? thanx one again your assistance is much appreciated

the tensioner was installed by a mechanic do u have to push the lever on the tensioner towards the drivers wing to put it on? why does it keep comming off the alternator? thanx

the mechanic put it on how can u check if its linned up properly? you dont have a diagram of what the fan belt should look like when on? your help is much appreciated.

thank you for your promp response. looking at the diagram my engine has 2 main cogs at the bottom then one on the fan belt the tensioners on the right side with another small one at the top then the alternator at the right side. im sorry for being dumb but car engines arent my thing any help appreciated thank you once again.
