How many miles to the tank do you get ?

I am considering 3 cars for my next car . A 98 Honda Prelude , 99 Mustang GT and a 94-96 BMW 325is or 328 if I can find one . I am concerened about gas milleage since here in BC canada gas prices are equal to nearly $4.00 a gallon . So how many Miles to you get for you tank ? Please include any major modification that would affect it , and perhaps say if you drive mostly city or highway . Thank You . I hope the BMW does good , I really don't want to drive a Honda .!

cool thanks . so that's about 418kms ! wooohooo ! . Right now in my 1999 Chevrolet Blazer I only get 300kms to the tank . I bet i could get 450kms to the tank . and save nearly 50% on my fuel costs . I think I am goin to buy a 325 after all .

i get 330-350miles per tank. I do a mix of city/highway driving. intake is my only mod that would effect mpg. my overall average is 21mpg. Not that bad, but not that good.

In my stock 318i with the M42 1.8L engine. With one person driving in the car 90% of the time...On a full 17.5 gallon tank I get about 300 miles of mixed city and highway. I also use 93 or higher octane. On straight highway I've gotten 350+ miles on a full tank.

If gas is your concern and not speed or racing then a 318i is a perfect pick especially if you do alot of basic everyday driving around...I've put almost 20,000 miles on my car since I've bought it last June 2004. Some weeks I've driven on average 700 to 900 miles....from just doing basic stuff and errands.

I'm now reconsidering my purchase of my 318i over the 325i and 328i cars.

Haha, I'm sure the insurance is less on a 318 though.
