Air intact duct is disconnected from airbox

Hi All. I've been driving like this for the past few weeks and can't get the gap sealed between the two. Do I need to remove the cover to the airbox? Does the Air Intake Duct just snap to it or are there clamps or something that secures them together? How is this hurting the engine?

All I think may happen is some unfiltered air may get in. In my car a similar leak caused uneven idle because the air sensor was thrown off

So how is it attached to the airbox? Shouldn't we keep it sealed?

That break is before the air filter right? If so, it's not really a priority, otherwise, yes, it should be sealed.

Yea sealing it might help, and if i remember correctly on mine the lip on the rubber duct just sits right on it and seals well. Check to see if you have any broken rubber/plastic. I dont think it will mess anything up too much but as witeshark said it might cause and uneven idle.

Thank you for posting a picture its very helpful to see exactly what you are asking a question about.
