Exclamation rotten footwell problem

the only bit of rot on my 1989 e30 is around the accelerator pedal.due to this my pedal cannot be secured to the floor.i have always been put of with any amount of rot.seeing as i cant make my mind up to get this fixed or sell the car,please can anyone give me advise if its fixable and worth while.or should i just get rid?
