Fog Fuses

My foglights have blown out three 7.5 amp fuses in the last couple months. I've just turned them on for one reason or another, and the green light inside the cabin blinks on momentarily and goes off, and my fuse will be shot. Tell me why.

No, I'll try that, but 7.5 is the stock specification.
Is there any reason the bulbs would be pulling more than that? This hasn't happened until recently, and I didn't replace the bulbs or any wiring.

Have you inspected the fog lights closely? If there is a hole/crack in the lens, and your light is holding water, that could short you out quickly and/or randomly.

What wattage bulbs do you have in there?

Standard wattage on most are 55w 12v (120v would be in your house )

This is assuming that they standard fogs in the spoiler, and are the H3: they can run at 35w, 55w, 85w, and i think as high as 110w.

RTFOM and see what BMW says officially.
