E30 Wheel Size - United Bimmer Community

What is the highest/best wheel size I can put on various E30's depending on model and year? I was told 15" and 16" pretty much okay, and that a 17" will fit on ...(?) if it's a particular year because of more flare in the fenders. I wish I had taken notes, because I no longer remember the entire conversation.

you can fit 17's in there with 205 45-17's but i would stick with 16's still with 205's.

You can do 17s with a 215/45/17, thats what im running im pretty sure if I had 225s I would have rubbing issues.

15's fit perfectly, IMO. 17's will fit though, 18's you'll probably need to delete your fenders.

I am pretty sure that I have 17's..I can check the tire size when I finally get my car back..

heard a lot saying 16's are the best to go for although the standard 15's were designed for the car. I'm using 17's and havent really had an issue with them rubbing etc. Plus they look better in 17's. Depends what you get.

did you roll the fenders? those are some big wheels!

yes i did roll the fenders a little bit, but i havn't had any problem with my wheels hitting the fenders course hard suspension
