OBC quit working
 

The other day my OBC quit working. The only thing that works on it now is the backlight.. What else would have quit working if it blew the fuse? It is a 85 325e. The only thing I found was that my trunk light burnt out. I'm not sure if it is related though.

Does anyone know which fuse the OBC is on in an 85 325e? I checked all the lower wattage ones and they seemed fine...

Check in your manual. There should be some fuse indication in there somewhere.

Does your tach work? I know my OBC was on the same fuse as my Tach.

Maybe try reaching behind it and check the connections to it?

I'm going to say the obvious thing here....

why you have to take the fun out of everything.

I say u take out the OBC and try to fix it...make sure u got back up money to fill in th egaping hole in your dash with a new one...but try to fix it.

did it stop working completely(like pitch blacK) or did it just malfunction(like displaying crazy symbols?)

I am definately NOT a fun sucker.

I'm just stating that if it doesn't work, ONE solution is to get another one.

btw, if he buys a new OBC....you owe me a coke.

^^ Yeah cause mine does that -- just loses its mind and flickers random LCDs and then it gets over it and works normal :dunno :lol

Today I tried replacing the light and it still doesnt work...when I put a new bulb in it didnt light up. So I am assuming it is a fuse. On the obc the backlight still works and it doesnt display anything.

Maybe you should try the high wattage fuses. :dunno
