sorry for the lengthy thread and big pictures, Im just so close to completion
Im currently doing an engine swap in my garage, no improvements just an engine without problems. my old engine dropped a main bearing.
Its my first time doing an engine swap so I have been learning alot.
This is the car I got my new engine from (donor car), as you can see there really isnt anything else that you can salvage (from Vines auto)
when I got the engine it was the same as far as I could tell when they were both sitting next to eachother on pallets in the garage. but now as I am nearing completion of the swap, I have found these differences
1. on my old engine, the fuel lines (2) go in one right under the other on the front of the engine near the radiator. on the new engine the setup was a line to the back of the fuel injector line and one to the front of it. I swapped the injection line from my old engine to the new one.
2. on the old engine, there was this metal piece to extend the hoses across the front of the engine to the lower part of the radiator
it attached here on the old engine
but those bolt holes dont exist on the new engine
Without these mounts I dont know how to get the hose from the top right side to the bottom left side.
Instead of the second mount for that metal cooling line... there is this
that isnt on my old engine, if anyone has a line that runs in here please tell me where it goes
so to sum up this large thread, here are my questions
1. how do I run the coolant line from the top right of the engine to the bottom left for the radiator without mounting that metal peice.
2. what line goes in that hole that has the cap in it?
All suggestions are greatly appreciated and thank you for your help in advance
