Hood opener on my e30

On my 1991 318is the wire that opens the hood and is attached to the thing that you pull is very loose and it takes some effort to get the hood popped. Is there an easy way to fix this or get around it?

~Jeff

It's a cable and it's not difficult but time consuming (routing the cable)

i have heard of it getting old and breaking tho, then opening the hood is a b!atch. even tho difficult, i would recommend doing it before it goes on its own.

I tried looking for the emergency release and couldn't find it. Does anyone know if '91 318is' have them and, if so, is it in the front drivers' side grill?
