Hey i was just wondering if it would be worth it to get some of the conversion headlights..so that you just get a bulb instead of a lamp type thing...I havent really looked into it but I know i can get a pair for $40 so it would be 80 for all four..and then you have to buy lights too.. http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/I...D:100000275170
Those are the ones that i came across..Has anyone else done this?
if you got the extra cash go for ellipsoid head units. I believe i paid 200$ for Depo lights. Easy to wire, and they make a huge difference while driving at night. They take regular H4 bulbs. and you can even wire the daytime running lights if u got the know how.
They are pictured in my sig.

Also a direct fit to oem.. I have been looking for a while at diff ones. I just ordered these earlier today, I'll let you know after I get them how they are.
Thanks I havn't gotten anything yet since right now I would need my mom to buy them if I get them online...(she dislikes xenon bulbs...I guess I would too though if i drove 5000 miles a week, unless they were on my car)
I know this is an older thread but if you do decide to get these also buy the vinyl lens protectors from Bavauto. I did this to my old e30 and was very happy with them. The brighter bulbs I put in worked great and look better even when off. The only problem is they are prone to cracking, but the vinyl protector disks seem to prevent that. The go on very easily with just the tool that comes with them and a spray bottle for a rubbing alcohol water mixture.
I am defineatly going to get better lights eventually..I'l keep in mind to get the protectors..Did you buy the ellipsoid ones or one of the xenon conversion cheap ones?
