325i - Engine surges at idle
I have an '88 325i and when I am sitting at an idle in gear or in park the engine surges from about 500 rpm to 800 and I'm not sure which sensor is causing the issue, or if I just have a vacuum leak.
Anyone have any suggestions as to where I should check or how to find out what's wrong? Thanks in advance. Jake |
try checking out your idle control valve.
Also check for rips or tears on the intake bellows leading into your throttle body.
Yup that'll do it.
check the O2 sensor on the exhaust pipe. I had this problem in a m20 motored e34
it wouldnt have that problem if it had a V8

If you can, resize to be as small as possible so anyone can see. Then when you post use the *go advanced* button to the right under the post message box and upload attachments
