so i have nmoticed that when i turn my car off the engine keeps turning and it sounds like it rotates a couple of times after the explosions stop.
What could be causing this?

Do you mean it's "dieseling"? (like running on) If that's the case after you put in 91 octane could be a carbon build up causing pre-ignition. When was last plug change? Does it do it everytime you turn it off or only after certain circumstances? (more info please)

Changed plugs about 15-20k ago. New wires also. Bosch all around.
Usually only does it when its hot, when i take a drive longer then an hour or when i drive spritedly.

Run a bottle of Techron or STP gas treatment and fill up tank at same time - see if that helps. It sounds suspiciously like bad fuel and/ or moisture in gas
