Fight tooth and nail at the value of your car. The insurance company will come in lowballing you. Fight them hard, and squeeze all the money out of them you can.

I'd say take it and run, considering the book on that car is around $2600 (I'm guessing here) in perfect condition?

4.2k is pretty damn generous for an e30. However, the 4.1k quote they came up with is extremely low, do you know who valued it at that to fix it? I'd say the real cost to fix it is much higher so you should be able to get them to go up.

Meet with them and nickel and dime it and they should go up a bit. Explain to them how clean your car is and yada yada.

I would say they are giving you a decent ammount for an e30, but like storamin said you gotta try and get the value up more because it does seem like its a little low, perhaps see if you can get a place you know does good work to give a price.

it was brought to staley's body shop in westminster, md. they are known for excellent work. in fact, i brought it there last year when someone side swiped the bimmer, what they did was flawless. . .

in anycase, it is already done. bye bye E30. . .

but for medical, the saga continues.

Good luck finding your next e30!

I remember when my e36 318 was rearended. The insurance adjuster asked me how soon I could get another. He said most BMW drivers get another BMW.
