Fight tooth and nail at the value of your car. The insurance company will come in lowballing you. Fight them hard, and squeeze all the money out of them you can.

4.2k is pretty damn generous for an e30. However, the 4.1k quote they came up with is extremely low, do you know who valued it at that to fix it? I'd say the real cost to fix it is much higher so you should be able to get them to go up.
Meet with them and nickel and dime it and they should go up a bit. Explain to them how clean your car is and yada yada.

I would say they are giving you a decent ammount for an e30, but like storamin said you gotta try and get the value up more because it does seem like its a little low, perhaps see if you can get a place you know does good work to give a price.
