I fix one thing..another snaps....wtf

Ugh. Sometimes it feels like my car is a constant head ache..but its worth it.
I just flushed my power steering because it was getting harder to steer. So I put some dextron 3 ATF in it. Works beutifully now. Less then 24 hours later Im driving over my mountain pass, haulin ass as usual and i take a hard right handed 20mph turn at like 50. Heel toe downshift, cut apex..the whole shabam.

I get through the turn, my brake sensor light comes on and a little later when i slowed down I heard a rattling. I keep driving because i was tight on time. Get to my destination and by then my brake lining light goes out(wtf? this happen to anyone?) but i find out i snaped one of my exhausts hangers. It snapped right in half...how the hell does that happen. No rust or anything, just broken.

so my quiestion is if i take it off, which i have can i drive with only one hanger?

you can definately drive w/one hanger, but if it shakes too much, the exhaust might slip off from that 1 hanger and be hangin down(its still held by bolts) which is a bad thing, but its no big deal, just take it to a shop and have them weld one for you, or you can even go to autozone and get ur own universal hanger for like 5 bucks

the brake sensor is probably lose btw

Yea the hanger is probably a quick fix, and loose sensor as xsperf said if probably the culprit, otherwise your pads might be starting to get thin.

No no my story so has yours beat. Im taking a right turn from a red light, no headvy aceceleration just a normal pull out into traffic and the strap on my gas tank decides so snap in 1/2. Ofcourse it was very rusted. So im trying to figure out while I find a spot to pull over whats under my car draging down the road. Lucky for me its only a 10$ part so Im dong both of them while Im under there.

heh oh shit. I should prolly make sure mine is still in good condition. Maybe u should change ur exhaust hangers while ur down there.

also..Im pissed. flushed my power steering...now its leaking again. Im so godam annoyed. I tightened everythign down, nothing should be leaking. BUT it still is.

Arg. Now everytime i park somewhere i leave a some spots of ATF fluid. Then my water pump is squeaking..which makes my car sound ghetto..haha.
well what ever.

Numark - you need to intesify your maintenance schedule. You do your oil changes religiously right? If you're going to hammer on your car you need to be doubling your maintenace routine and checking eveything more often or you're going to be writing more threads like this one. You can't expect a street car to be a part-time racer on a street car maintenance plan. Especially one that's getting up there in age. You're only going to amplify the weak points. (like brakes, wheel bearings, exhaust parts, belts, hoses, berings, bushings, shifter, plugs +++)
Guide - a good hard weekend on the track = roughly 5k in street driving

No, e30 FTW, they are sweet cars and I can't think of many other 16 year old cars that still work as well. C1apton brings up a good point, but I dont think he has tracked his car yet, the track stuff breaks and you learn what likes to brake (i have blown through some wheel bearings, a caliper and some other stuff i'm sure I am neglecting.)

I currently need a new antenna mast and/or a motor cause I cant get shit on my radio and the thing doesnt go up, somehow the one station I listen to here still comes in so I haven't played with it yet.
