central locking....getting stuck....
ok i just read the other threads about teh central locking, im not sure if tehre was one in the E30 section on this yet. My drivers side door lock only locks when i turn the key all teh way horizontal which is the central lock mechanism. Its getting harder to open the lock and im afraid one day ill get lock out of my own car. So what must be done?

You might wanna try some of the Graphite Lubricant as Dudesky sugests in one of the other threads to see if it helps any.

...or if that doesn't work get a new locking system or just lock the car with your trunk lock like I do.....

My driver's side keyhole door is busted, and crud gets in there. Hard to turn, or even get the key in there, especially when it's cold. But my alarm triggers the locks anyway, so I barely use the key. At some point when it gets warmer I'll change the cylinder.

happened to my E30, i dont ever lock the car on the drivers side door. i did accidently a couple of times, and it was a pain in the ass to get back in. until i replace it, i lock it via the trunk or the drivers side.
if the car is locked, i can still lock it tho. . . common problem. . .
