Everything Numark said, if you wanna go faster in the corners I would recomend a suspension upgrade as well, sportier shocks (koni or Bilstein).

A chip is probably a good place to start as it is relativly cheap and should give you a nice hp gain.

Intake and software are usually the first engine mods people do.

If you have the budget, I recommend the Dinan Cold Air Intake ($450), otherwise the Conforti intake is only a few hundred dollars I believe. For a cheap one, the cosmos intake is around $100 I believe. Those are all prices for e36's. You have an e30, so I'm not sure about the availablity or price differences.

Did you get my PM earlier?

As you have a LHD drive you have the luxury of being able to buy the genuine German performance bits. www.alpina.de has some extremely awesome bits of bolt on parts for the E30, the brochure is in German, but has great pictures with the part numbers next to them.

Intake and exhaust are a waste of time. MarkD chip and suspension. It's a M20, what are you expecting?
