good for you.. doesnt it always feel nice when you look at something knowing you did it.. haha

oh, and yes the back were easy, but the front you have to compress your springs, unless your replacing or springs(atleast it was this way for e36)

I'm pretty sure you have to compress the springs for any car. let us know how it corners with the new suspension.

not necessarily, some cars may have independent suspension, yes, in the front, the system can be all weird, i think independent suspension in the front is called wishbone or something..

maybe not then, but I seem to remember compressing the coils for my freinds mazda which is a fully independent double-wishbone suspension.

^^ in a mazda? wow, i thought these suspensions were on higher class cars, like some luxery cars, cadillac, lincoln, etc, and like porsches

by the way, fully independent means that the shocks are seperate from the springs

and on the second thought, this thread is gonna be hijacked... how do you like your new shocks numark?

i think you are mixing your terms up here. independent front suspension is used on i think every car built nowadays. this is where each side moves independently of the other, where on old trucks and some rear ends on cars the action of one side will affect the other thus not being independent.

do you mean where the shock is not inside the spring??

I thought most sports cars were at least double-wishbone in the front but I wasn't sure. I know that an E36 isn't double-wishbone on all four wheels. the rear act's like double-wishbone but has a trailing arm that controls toe. I think an E30 would use the same trailing arm to wishbone suspension rear and double wishbone front.

I don't really know that much about suspension, but I do know what a wishbone is.
