Newbie needs help - no start 325
Good Evening Gentlemen, I just purchased a 91 325 convertible. I've had it two days and two times it has left me stranded. Twice after turning the car off, it would not restart. I turn the ignition key but it acts as if the battery is dead or the car is in gear (automatic). I do not hear the solenoid clicking. I'm sure there is enough battery as the radio lights and windows will still function properly. Jumping the battery made no difference. After sitting it will eventually restart on first try. Any help appreciated, Newbie to BMW but pretty good with Volvos.

Does it have an alarm system? Are the battery connections clean and tight? Have you done a capacitance test on the battery? Is the key switch in the column loose?
