fuel level sending unit

Hey do any of you know if the fuel level sending unit for a 3 series is the same as the 5? I am looking for one desperately!! I believe the part number is 16-14-1-180-889 and it looks like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

If it is in fact the same, do any of you have an extra one? Thanks you!!!
