The mileage thread.
Well it had to be done at some point. What is the mileage/kilometers on your E30? I just rolled over to 180,000 miles last week

I had 195K when i baught it, sold it at 210k, drove it as if it had only 10k on it...such a beast. btw, i had the car for 1 year 2 months, and in 10 thousand miles, i went through 5 sets of tires

this engine will run forever. My old ride was an 85 (eta) the odometer stopped with 210,000 and I had it for another year and a half before I wrecked it and it ran very smooth. Also my dads old 86 eta had close to 300,000, he just doesn't drive it anymore
My current car has 177,800

Indeed they will. I'm going to rebuild it two summers from now, just because I really want a nice clean new engine.
But, if I left it stock, with teh way it feels, it would run well past 350,000 miles. These M20's are just incredible.

One thing about M20's that helps is natural balance. All inline 6, flat 6 and V 12's have this advantage

216,000 miles on the chassis
18,000 miles on the engine
The engine ran awesome before I rebuilt it, would have gone for a LOT longer.

So why'd you rebuild it?

So I could go with forged internals, 2.8l low compression for the turbo setup Needed more power!
