1987 E30 Turning Over Won't Start
Prob Fuel related my guess, Ive never worked on anything with a fuel pump or fuel lines on this car, so does anyone have any easy ideas on how to trouble shoot this to find out if it is in fact not getting fuel to start?
if anyone here has a diagram of the fuel lines underneath or any diagrams whatsoever would be awesome. I have a haynes manual but all the pics are blurry and would jus like a pic of under an E30 so when i crawl underthere with all the snow n junk i can easily find the lines

hmm what does a pushing start require? if its a fuel problem, would a push start work ya think? or would that only work if theres a problem with the starter spinning?

Get a foot of 1/4" fuel line, a plastic T, and 100 PSI fuel pressure gauge. Pull the #11 fuse under the hood (fuel pump) and crank the starter to make sure there's no pressure in the system. Now disconnect the fuel line at the regulator input - front of the rail - and install the T, hose, & gauge. Install the #11 fuse and turn the key on to the run position but don't try to start. You might have to turn the key off/on a couple times to fully pressurize. Fuel pump should now energize the system and the gauge should read at least 50 PSI - probably more. If not, check voltage at the pump. Should show 12 VDC for about 5 seconds after you turn on the ignition. BE CAREFUL and only do this in well ventilated area away from flames or sparks.
