interior light problem on 86 325es
i just purchased an 86 325es. By the time i got it home it was dark out and when i shut the car off i noticed that the power window switches were still lit . what could be causing the switches to stay lit. The passenger side window doesnt work either, seller said it was the switch and that he had changed it before.

I have 87 conv. and when it gets dark window switches between the seats always seem to light up and they seem to go off automatically. Perhaps activated by a light sensor ???
Never had a problem like battery run down etc.

Mine do the same thing, usually its the body module staying "awake" for 30 seconds to 3 minutes after you shut the car down. This is normal and shouldn't worry you. It's done for the sake of restart if you come back to the car quickly after a short stop somewhere.
