87 325is transmission exchange - United Bimmer Community

i am wondering if a 4 speed auto from an 88 325i will fit. ive been told that only an 87is will fit and if it wont is the difference the flywheel because i can change that too.

Same version of the m20 engine in both, the 86 was a little different. Try taking some measurements, check the flex plates. It'll probably work.
