You do not know the weight of the V12 engine. Should I repeat that a third time for you? You stated every other fact about the weight except that, and that was the only question I had. I already know the weight for the e30s.

Did you know the new m3 v8 is as heavy as the outgoing I6 engine? Did it ever occur to you that just because it has more cyllinders it doesn't weigh more? Clearly not.

Your 318is is closer to 2800lbs stock. I doubt you've ripped out your interior for all your "handling you don't want to lose". I know, I have a best friend who races a 1991 318is. I can see why someone would put a V12 in it, it's so slow anywhere except the track.

It's StorAmin.

Do you know the weight of the v12? I'm just saying its going to be heavier then anything thats in there to start with and gonna make the handling not as good. Yes i'm aware that the new v8 going into the m3 is as heavy as the I6, but thats due to materials. I will accept that I dont know anything about the specs of the v12 or the weight i'm just assuming (yes making an ass out of you and me ) its going to be Heavier then whats in there by a couple hundred pounds at least. And yes I know the cars slow but that doesnt mean it isnt fun and I do get it out on the track at least once a year, hopefully more once i'm out of college and have some more money. Allright i'm done arguing, thanks for the convo StorAmin.

we should argue more shouldnt we?

bottom line,

the V12 does weigh down the front a lot more, and does offset the balance quite a bit.

i think the reason he did it was not for the sole purpose of power, but also uniqueness..(sp?)
cuz no one, or few people have accomplished that, and im sure at car shows he gets quite the looks, and im sure everyones first thought ISNT "omg weight dist?" im sure it comes up, but the fact of the matter is that he did put that huge friggen engine in there, and proved many people wrong im sure
