Id like to see a show of hands.

I would like say hello to everyone im new to the site. Im a Tennessee native just bought my first 325is recently. I have always been a car guy but up until two weeks ago I never had a thing for Bimmers. I came across a clean 318 and thought I would like one of those. So here I am two weeks later with an E30 5spd 325is 87. If anyone has any pointers on that car or the M20B25 engine let me know. And if you have the same car send me a message.

87 325is is one of the three beemers I currently own. With the M20 engine you need to make sure you do the water pump, timing belt, and tensioner pulley at the recommended intervals. It's not hard but it is a little involved, you'll want to take the hood off to do it (makes it MUCH easier). Regular oil changes, use normal 10w30 none of that fancy synthetic, or high mileage crap. None of that garbage even existed when these cars were new and it DOES NOT make them better, same with spark plugs use standard copper core, the ignition systems get tweaky with platinums and junk. 3-500,000 miles is a normal life cycle, drive by the coolant gauge DO NOT run the car hot you will warp the head. Other than that use OEM stuff when you can, order it online, BAV auto, Pelican, Az Autohaus and the like. These are good solid cars, can take lots of abuse (although I don't recommend it) and if you take care of them, they WILL take care of you. By the way all other cars are now ruined and crap to drive for you (just wait you'll see) welcome to the insane asylum.
