e21 steering issues

Hi!

I'm thinking about reducing number of wheel turns from dead left to dead right. Non-servo type of steering sucks when drifting...
Finding good servo rack for e21 is mission impossible, so I'm in searching for steering rack that will fit e21.

It's possible to fit e36 steering rack on e30 and reduce wheel turn and enlarge steering angle but which steering rack will fit e21 and do same thing...

Any sugestions?

Hi there!
Really you think that what you suggest might work?Wow, this is very high level mechanical engineering for my understanding capabilities!!!This would be VERY interesting if it works, I would very much like to see it, at least to be informed!!
And then, how about power steering?Do you have in your E21?They have rather heavy wheels without power steering... On the other hand I thought that power st. did not exist or at least it is something extremely rare to find, and if you talk about reducing number of wheel turns, then you speak about ending with an even more heavy steering wheel, aren't you?
Driving your E21 will be a hell without power steering...(Unless there's something that may be done, which I'm not aware of...)
Otherwise, if anybody can infor me where to find power steering to install on an E21, I am really interested!!!

My friends have already put e36 steering rack in e30 but both e36 nad e30 have power steering in first place so they only change steering rack...

I do not have power steering in my car and I'm wondering if some other steering rack will fit (probably with power steering.)
E21 and E30 power steering are basicly the same, only steering racks are diferent and it is no possible interchange them.

I don't think steering is heavy right now, but it is unpractical when driving little faster or driving on curvy road because lots of wheel turning.
I'm aware that less wheel turn means heavier turning but power steering should manage it...

There seem to be many things I do not know about E21's!I did not even know that power steering system existed for E21. I am really interested if there's any possibility to find one and install it to my car...The next thing that I will surely start thinking about, (as you do now) is too many wheel turns... :)
