Cool BMW318i e30 FUEL PUMP problem
Wonder if any one can help. My E30's fuel pump seems to have failed as one morning the pump started whining loudly and would nt cut out even if I switch the ignition off. Had to disconnect battery lead to cut it out?? Now as soon as I try to rejoing the terminal, the whining noise returns without the ignition being ON?
A day before this happened the cars stalled but restarted with some attempt. The engine has stopped cranking as well?

If you don't want to take in to have put on the computer then change your fuel pump but be sure to reset your computer so that it's in the correct settings. Sorry couldn't be more help. I had a problem with my car starting and have change Dist + Rot, Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Plugs + Wires, Ignition Coil and Battery so good luck chasing it down.
