My Custom CAI
I thought i could make a cooler looking CAI for my car, i never really liked what there is to offer in that dept. for our cars. so this is what i came up with. I don't think it makes much of a difference performance wise, but i think i get a bit better gas milage, but it's kinda hard to tell.
The intake http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y66...Car/intake.jpg Close Up of the bracket http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y66...ar/intake2.jpg From the other side http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y66...Car/engine.jpg but i think the time has come to sell it. this is how it goes i guess http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y66...Car/inside.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y66...20Car/car2.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y66...20Car/car1.jpg |
Now you just need a heat shield to keep it from sucking hot air from the engine bay.
looks good, make me one
nice bracket you made there, wish i had the tools for that.
i just finished mine too. (everything except the seal on top of the heatshield) i used a much simple bracket, but it does the trick. http://img150.echo.cx/img150/152/img21897xn.jpg http://img150.echo.cx/img150/9334/img21902ku.jpg you can see that i ducted the high beam to the engine bay with a ribbed tube (downspout extension) then cut out a small piece from the headlight sheild. |
Interesting - A bit bandwidth heavy! Sorry, bad mood, no TV Cable! :bash
kris, if you got some plastic bumperes, it would look HOT..ter then it does now.
i know, and i had a good line on a set super cheap, but im selling the car, so i'll just let the buyer in on it, and the rest of my hook ups for it.
both of those intakes are very nicely made. Straight6, I really like the heat shield that you build, did you notice much a of diffference?
