745i drivetrain in an E30?
G'day mates, Anyone ever transplanted the donk & slushbox from a 745i into an E30? I've seen one at an event, and have seen a couple online, but wondered how involved the actual swap would be. Saw a complete drivetrain on eBay (fair cheap at that!) from a 1987 745i (reckon that would be the M106 3.4 L) Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts...QQcmdZViewItem I'm seriously considering making a bid, for the price the fella wants, you get all the brakes, cooling bits, and the LSD diff, and all the wiring and electronic bits as well. Makes me wish I had an M6, all that would bolt right up in one of those! Just wondered if any of you blokes may have done a big six swap, and could direct me to someone to give up the details. |
