E30 wont start!
Hi, I'm a newbie on the E30 that I just bought. It's a 1987 320I with the m20b20 engine. It ran fin for a couple of days, and then one morning i just wouldn't start. The engine came on for a little while, but then it died! I thought it might be the fuel delivery system, so I tjecked it all and put in some new relays, and the engine is getting plenty of fuel! I also changed the sparkplugs! I read that someone had problems with moist in the ECU, so I want to tjeck that today, but I don't know where it is locatet! Does anyone have any ideas on what to do next, and please describe it, as I am quit a N00B.

okay I know that this totally sounds wierd but it is something to check... Mine would do the same thing, it would even at time die when shutting the door or driving over a bump. what I found is a loose connection under the panel that is above the pedals. If you are looking at the pedals the particular connection to the left of the steering columb. There are a couple of them, I would just check to make sure they are all tight. that is what fixed mine and have had no problems since. good luck

Hey e30boise, thanks for the reply! I figuret out what was wrong with my e30. The was a few things actually I don't know what its called in english, but the thing on top of the engine, that measures the amount of air that gets into the engine, was from a 525! The result of that, was wrong air/fuel ratio! The sparkplugs where wrong, and there for didn't ignite the fuel properly!!! Then it needed some fine tuning on the computer, but now it runs like a charm!!!
