MAF E30 to E34
Would a swap from a standard 325is AFM be plug and play to a 535i's E34 MAF. I've heard some guys doing this for throttle response and such. I found a nice one but wanted to make sure first? I have a chip, exhaust, and larger injectors, would I benefit?
It would work if......
1. you have a custom chip burned to recognize the MAF,
2. you will need a piggyback system that would manipulate the system so it recognizes the MAF,
3. a ton of other stuff that if I keep going I will be here until next week.
I'm running a M30 AFM with the guts of a M20 inside and it works like a charm. I have also heard that you can get one with the ending numbers on the AFM being 027 and it's supposed to be a plug and play but don't know how true it is. But before you jump into something, do your research. I'm still doing mine on the MAF and how I want to employ that and what I want out of it.
